"Don Bosco Inter School Football Tournament", the tournament that is played among some of the best schools in Delhi. It showcases some of the best skills & tactics of football.

The tournament began with the opening match played between Kalka Public school and Don Bosco school. The Bosconians triumphed with a comfortable 2-0 victory. They battled their way to the semi's where they met GD Goenka, the team that knocked us out last year at this same point and for us to beat the this year was imperative.By the end of the match we had something to celebrate and something to be worried about. We could celebrate because we had won the match and qualified for the finals but that came along with some bad news. Our captain Steve Gomes had suffered a ligament tear and one of our playmakers Soumitro Maity had a muscle pull and had problems whilst sprinting.

The decider of the Don Bosco Inter School Football Tournament was between two heavyweights of South Delhi -Laxman Public School(LPS) and Don Bosco School. The match started with Principal Fr. Binny wishing every player luck.

After losing the semi-finals for four consecutive years nd finally reaching the finals it was a do or die situation for us. The team stepped on to that field along with steve and soumitro who despite being injured showed their passin for the game aand helped their team when they needed them the most.

The match kicked off with both teams trying to get an early goal and put the pressure on the oppostion. The first half was evenly dominated by both teams, with impressive tactics and gameplays. The Bosconians missed a few chances much to the disappointment of our coach but more importantly to us.The first half ended all square.

Soon after the second half started the bosconians opened the scoring with a wonder strike by Sisirjali Soren. We immediately shifted offensive style to defensive stle of play so as to not concede a goal. But that was not long to be when LPS scored a goal due to a slender touch by their captain that deviated the ball away from our goalkeeper and into the net. It came in the dying moments of the match when both teams pressed hard for a winner but the match ended 1-1 and it was down to penalties .

We were on to a flier thanks to some brilliant saves from our goalkeeper,Ankit Joshi. From there on there was no stoppng us as we lead our school to victory.

Both the teams shortlisted their best penalty takers, and rest of the team stood silently by the field, their lips moving in inaudible prayers.

LPS won the toss and decided to save first.

Rahul Sreekumar stepped up to take the first shot.
GOAL! he gently placed the ball into the bottom right with the goalkeeper standing dumbstruck.

It was LPS turn to shoot.
The LPS striker blasted the ball outside the goal with our goalkeeper Ankit joshi having to do no work.

Next came Rishabh Thareja.
He gave the shot his full power placing the ball in the corner, testing the goalkeepers reflexes.he scored.

LPS defender looked confident and shot one right into the bosconian goalkeepers hands.Loud cheers came from the Don Bosco sitting area.

It was Ankit Joshi's turn .Ankit joshi shot one outside the goal framemissing the post by a whisker.
