Let's face it. A PowerPoint presentation is a visual thing. Photos and graphics are what make them interesting to an audience .And Principal Fr.Binny did just that.He exploited the many facets of PowerPoint in his presentation to bring alive life at Don Bosco in 2008-09.

Fr.Binny’s report consisted of a series of slides that reflected the year gone by. What is intriguing is how he drew out a time line of events-beginning from the Teacher’s Seminar to the events at Fiesta-to the Social Science exhibition that was truly an exemplification of `Incredible India’, and the other events that highlighted the year gone by.

A departure from the usual was a series of slides that reflected achievements in extra-curricular and sporting activities in the year gone by.

It was extremely touching to see the Principal share his stage and report with a Bosconian from Class 10-the editor and genius Sameer Abraham Thomas. Sameer complemented Fr.Binny’s deep baritone with his pedantic accuracy and crisp delivery. In sharing his space with Sameer,Fr.Binny was only very subtly acting out our Founder St.John Bosco’s graciousness in the wisdom of open heartedness in attitude.

Topping the entire list of achievers was the Times of India NIE Award to ace writer and orator Mashhood Alam specifically for his brilliant `School Boy’s Letter to a Terrorist.’ He also mentioned the 2 Science geniuses who made it to the interview of the Junior Science Talent Competition.

The CBSE Results were also very clearly and neatly plotted according to the toppers and rank holders. Interesting how one didn’t know how time flew when Fr.Binny read his report that actually ran into 20 enchanting minutes. It is an honour for Bosconians and teachers to figure in a Principal’s Report. It reaffirms the beauty and power of the `family spirit’.
