The shlokas purify and calm our souls from the hustle and bustle of our modern day lives. The echoes of the shlokas promote an inner peace within us. The Shloka Sudha competition 2018 for classes VI-X was held from 23rd to 26th of July. The entire auditorium reverberated with the flawless chanting of the shlokas from the scriptures.

16 speakers from each class invigorated the audience with their extraordinary renditions. The participants had given their best and provided a tough competition to their fellow contestants. The knowledge shared was immense and inspiring and one of its kind. The competition began with a beautiful “Saraswati Vandhana”- a shloka seeking blessings of Goddess Saraswati. Good anchoring combined with fair judgment and melodious shlokas left the audience spell bound.

The prizes were awarded to the winners of the competition by Reverend Father Babu Varghese , the Principal and Rector of Don BoscoSchool, Alaknanda. The judges Ms Sangita Taneja and Ms Tanishka Gera also expressed their appreciation and congratulated the winners and the participants. The light of knowledge spread among the audience and filled them with immense joy and exuberance.
