RECOGNITION DAY JUNIORS

The Recognition Day 2026 of the Junior School at Don Bosco School, Alaknanda, was held on 24 July 2026 at 4:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. The celebration began with a warm welcome extended to the esteemed Salesians—Director and Manager, Don Bosco Alaknanda, Rev. Fr. Binny Issac, Principal Rev. Fr. Sujith Augustine, Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Ashok Ekka,  and Administrator Rev. Fr. Bimal Marcus—along with the distinguished guests, parents, teachers, and students. The programme was then formally inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Rev. Fr. Binny Issac, Rev. Fr. Sujith Augustine, Rev. Fr. Ashok Ekka, Ms. Divya Malhotra, and Junior School Head Boy Yuvaan Anand, symbolising the light of knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment.

A lively English Action Song by the tiny tots of Classes I and II set a cheerful tone for the evening. In his Welcome Address, the Principal encouraged the students to pursue excellence with dedication, humility, perseverance, and integrity.

The ceremony honoured the academic achievements of meritorious students from Kindergarten to Class V for the Academic Year 2025–26. Academic and Scholastic Achievement Awards were presented by -  Rev. Fr. Bimal Marcus to students of Kindergarten and Class I, Rev. Fr. Ashok Ekka to students of  Classes II and III, and by Rev. Fr. Binny Issac to students of  Classes IV and V. The Excellence in Academics Awards and Star Child Awards were presented by Rev. Fr. Sujith Augustine, recognising exceptional scholastic performance, exemplary conduct, and holistic development.

The evening's highest honour, the prestigious Dominic Savio Award, was conferred upon Anway Garg of Class V C, the Best Bosconian of the Junior School, in recognition of excellence in academics, discipline, character, values, and behaviour.Adding colour to the celebration were captivating cultural performances, including a melodious Hindi song and an expressive English poem.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks and the School Anthem, followed by refreshments for all the students, parents, and staff. More than a celebration of achievement, Recognition Day reflected the school's unwavering commitment to academic excellence, character formation, discipline, and the holistic development of every learner.
