FAREWELL CLASS XII


The Farewell Program for the Batch of 2024 was held with great enthusiasm and heartfelt emotions at Don Bosco School, Alaknanda. The event began with a warm welcome by Siddharth Choudhary, who paid tribute to the visionary founder, Don Bosco, acknowledging his enduring legacy.
The programme commenced with a solemn prayer led by the Vice Principal, Fr. Ashok Ekka, seeking the divine’s benedictions.

The Principal, Fr. Sujith Augustine, led the traditional Lighting of the Lamp ceremony, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge. Others included were the Vice Principal, Fr Ashok Ekka; Mr Sunil Kapoor, PTA representative; Ms Deepa Praveen and the Head Boy, Mankirat Singh Lamba.

A captivating dance performance, TAAL-e-MATARIYAM, performed by Ms Debanjana Sinha Roy and Gagandeep Singh Sahota of 11-D, depicted the bond of love and growth, mesmerizing the audience. The highlight was the Passing of the Flame ceremony, led by the Principal, the Vice Principal, and the Head Boy, symbolizing unity and transition. An audio-visual presentation evoked nostalgia as it reflected on cherished memories the students built over thirteen years.

The Principal, Fr Sujith Augustine, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing leadership, resilience, and hope. Each class was honoured with mementos, presented by their respective class teachers, recognising their achievements and memories.

Emotional speeches by the parent representative of the science stream, Mr Anuj Khanna, father of Abhyuday Khanna, 12-B, the parent representative of the commerce stream, Mrs Mahpara Jan, mother of Sayib Khan, 12-C, and the Head Boy added depth to the occasion. The farewell song by the members of the School Band and staff members, left the audience moved, signifying gratitude and hope for the future.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the school anthem, bidding a heartfelt farewell to the outgoing batch.
