Don Bosco School Alaknanda organized an Orientation program and Workshop on “Art of Parenting” for Pre-primary parents on 13th of April 2024. The workshop aimed to provide parents with valuable insights, strategies, and resources to support and enhance their parenting skills and practices to foster the healthy development, well-being, and success of their children. It was conducted by Anon Global Foundation & the resource people were Dr. Arti Girdhar, the founder & president & Ms. Shammi Proothi, Vice President of the organization.
The workshop began with a warm welcome and introduction by Ms. Sweekriti Dhasmana, welcoming the resource people & the audience. The resource people were also felicitated by the Principal Father Hemlet Kujur with bouquet of flowers & memento.
The presentation & activities on positive parenting were delivered by the resource people, focusing on the principles and practices of positive discipline, effective communication, and supportive guidance to foster the healthy growth and development of children.
The session was quite interactive and group discussions were conducted to engage parents in sharing their experiences, challenges, and concerns related to parenting, and to explore and discuss practical strategies, solutions, and approaches to address and overcome parenting challenges and issues.
We received positive feedback from parents, who appreciated the opportunity to learn, share, and collaborate with other parents and educators to improve their parenting skills.
Following the workshop, the teachers explained to the parents regarding basic rules & regulations of the school & class for smooth functioning of the pre-primary activities.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks given by Ms. Reema Furtado, expressing gratitude to all the parents, organizers, and the school staff for their contributions to making the event a great success.
