CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

The Children’s Day Cultural Programme for the Senior School, organised in the Auditorium on 23 November 2023 was a vibrant tapestry of talent and celebration.
The morning commenced with our Rector and Principal, Fr. Hemlet Kujur’s uplifting address via the P. A. System during the morning assembly, followed by the students’ enthusiastic response to his wishes.
Amidst the illuminating presence of our Staff members and the students of classes VI to XII, the programme started with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp arranged by Ms. Monika Agarwal and Ms. Manasi Dutta. The lamp was lit by our respected Principal Fr. Hemlet Kujur, the Vice Principal, Fr. Sajin Varghese, the Administrator, Fr. Anoop Minj, the Headboy, Mantavya Kumar and Assistant Headboy, Adhiraj Baul.
Ms. Radhika Suri read a heartfelt prayer for the Bosconians, setting a spiritual ambiance.
Ms. Tanishka Gera and Ms. Manju Nair added a personal touch to the proceedings with their compering.
Mr. Charanpreet Singh’s warm welcome address paved the way for engaging AV presentations which not only included heartfelt messages from a few educators but also transported the students through the corridors of time. They were assembled and prepared by Ms. Kanishka Kumar, Ms. Rehna Vidhun, Ms. Reema Joseph and Ms. Shivali Gehlot.
In his Principal’s address, Fr. Hemlet Kujur reminded the students that while the essence of Children’s Day is their laughter and happiness, they must always dream big and work hard to become responsible and compassionate individuals in the community and endeavour to uphold the school motto ‘Ever More and Better Ever’.
The programme featured captivating performances by the teachers, including a dynamic dance act presented by Ms. Debanjana Sinha Roy, Ms. Akansha, Ms. Shivali and Ms. Stephy Martin – a reminder of the vibrant celebration of the Bosconian spirit.
A melodious medley of songs were presented by a talented group of mentors led by Ms. Marlyn Mervin and Ms. Sangita De.
A special message on behalf of the staff was given by Ms. Elizabeth Thomas.
The Voice of DBA winners, Arnav and Yash, guided by Ms. Parnavi Tongar, then presented a special song.
Another highlight of the day that provided a moment of camaraderie was an interactive quiz conducted by Mr. Mathew Thomas and Ms. Marlyn. It was greatly appreciated by the students as they raised their hands in the air to answer the questions and get a prize.
A movie show arranged by Ms. Nidhi Sikka and Mr. Lijo added to the festive spirit.
The prizes for the Voice of DBA winners of classes VI to XII were given away by the Principal. The names were announced by Ms. Iris Thomas.
The day concluded with a gracious vote of thanks proposed by the Headboy Mantavya Kumar prepared under the guidance of Mr. Rajesh Sebastian followed by the rendition of the School Anthem, leaving an indelible mark on the school’s cultural calendar.
Mr. Abin and Mr. Alvin’s expertise in the realm of audio – visuals ensured the smooth conduct of the programme. Mr. Gins photography captured the essence of Children’s Day.
Refreshments, sponsored by the School management and staff, were distributed to all the students in their respective classrooms which concluded the festivities for the day.
