9th October 2023 marked the beginning of the commerce week. Father Hemlet Kujur and chief Guest Mr Nitin Mathur l inaugurated the event by the lighting of the lamp, followed by his session on start-up business, the necessities and protocol for continuing and carrying out a business.
On the same day there was a competition amongst the students of 11C and D and 12C and D on advertisement making , the event was called Ad-mad. There were 8 participating teams and 3best teams won the prize.
10th October
The school was honoured by the presence of Mr Subhash Dey , the author of their text book in Business studies.
He discussed with them, the pattern of Board Question Paper, the kind of Questions that are usually asked and how they can perform better.
11th October
The students were privileged to have with them Dr Vikas Vijay, who adorned the gathering and gave the students nuances and useful insights of how to perform better in accountancy.
Followed by this a Food without fire competition was held. 17 participating teams were there and students were enthusiastically participating in the competition and prepared different cuisines.
12th October
Ms Shweta Cammab faculty member of the NSE and BSE. She taught and made the boys understand the dynamics of investment.
She discussed about stock market and mutual funds.
Same day a Quiz was conducted for the commerce students where there was a preliminary round followed by the main event involving 6 participating teams .
13th October
The day marked the end of commerce week with an alumni talk involving alumni
Mr Abhishek Gupta, a pass out of 1998 batch, an expert in his field , a board member of Institute of Chartered Accounts, Symbiosis Business School and KIET universities.
My Kunal Agarwal, a practicing lawyer of Supreme Court and high Court, and Sanit Jain a school topper of 2022 batch.
A fashion show was conducted to mark the closing ceremony of the week-long Commerce Fest.
