The Recognition Day at Don Bosco School, Alaknanda, was held on 25th July 2024, and it was a day filled with joy and celebration. The chief guest for the occasion was Reverend Father Charles Lobo. The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Reverend Father Charles Lobo, Principal Father Sujith Augustine, and Vice Principal Father Ashok Ekka, symbolizing the light of knowledge and wisdom. This was followed by a soulful Hindi prayer song that set a serene and respectful tone for the event.
The Principal, Father Sujith Augustine, then delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of recognizing and celebrating the students’ achievements. After the welcome address, the chief guest, Reverend Father Charles Lobo, was felicitated along with the principal and vice principal. The felicitation ceremony was a gesture of appreciation and gratitude for their presence and support.
The prize distribution ceremony began with the pre-primary and class 1 students receiving their awards for various accomplishments. This was followed by an engaging English skit titled “The Adventure of Success,” performed by the students, which captivated the audience with its theme and execution. After the skit, the prize distribution for classes 2 and 3 took place, recognizing the efforts and achievements of these young students.
Reverend Father Charles Lobo then addressed the gathering, sharing words of wisdom and encouragement, inspiring the students to strive for excellence in all their endeavors. Following his address, the prize distribution continued for classes 4 and 5, celebrating their academic and extracurricular achievements.
A vibrant group dance performance added a festive atmosphere to the event, showcasing the students’ talent and hard work. The highlight of the award ceremony included the presentation of the Excellence Awards and Star Child Awards to students who demonstrated outstanding performance and potential. The prestigious Dominic Savio Award for the Best Bosconian of the school was also awarded, recognizing exceptional all-round contribution and character. Additionally, a new category, the Appreciation Award, was introduced to honor two students from class 3 for their unique contributions and commendable efforts.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of Recognition Day. This was followed by the School Anthem, uniting everyone in a moment of school pride and community spirit. The Recognition Day at Don Bosco School, Alaknanda, was a celebration of excellence, hard work, and talent, leaving everyone inspired and motivated.
