The Annual Recognition Day for the senior wing of the school was held on 26 July 2024 to felicitate those who stretch their limits and continue to strive for excellence both in academics and other activities – our very own young achievers. It also motivates others to reach the benchmark that they have set.
Our Director and Manager, Rev. Fr. Binny Issac, Principal, Rev. Fr. Sujith Augustine, Vice Principal, Fr. Ashok Ekka, Ms. Manasi Dutta and our Head Boy, Mankirat Singh Lamba were called upon to light the lamp to declare the ceremony open.
Fr. Sujith Augustine in his address congratulated all the winners, the staff members, the organisers of the event, the management, and the parents for their unwavering support.
Ms. Richa Soni and Ms. Radhika Suri invited the awardees of classes 6 & 7, respectively.
The students of class 8 presented the poem ‘Equipment’, by Edgar Albert Guest with elan under the able guidance of Ms. Tiza Rachel and Mr. Lijo P.J.
Ms. Geeta Bagai invited the achievers from class 8, and Ms. Seema Rai those of class 9.
Our Guest of Honour, Rev. Fr. Binny Issac addressed the noble gathering and delivered an inspiring speech.
A band of musicians – from class 9 to 12 – took us on a melodious journey, performing ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay, under the leadership of Ms. Geetali Dhar Chowdhury and Ms. Suparna Dey.
Following the song, Ms. Kanishka Kumar welcomed the recipients of class 11.
It was time for the most coveted Overall Academic Excellence, the names for which were announced by Ms. Elizabeth Thomas. The Overall Academic Excellence award was given to those who achieved the highest score among all four sections of their respective standards. The Full Attendance award was given to those who never missed a working day the previous year.
It was Mr. Mathew Thomas’ turn to announce the names of those who secured a spot in the Top 3 and the subject toppers for CBSE Class X Board Examinations 2023-24.
Muhammad Yahya Siddiqi, the class X topper addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of hard work and perseverance.
The students of classes 9 & 10 presented a vibrant dance on the song ‘If You Believe’ by Strive To Be and Patch Crowe. The dance was choreographed by Ms. Akansha Srivastava, Ms. Parnavi Tongar and Ms. Jyoti Pant.
Moving forward, Mr. Rajesh Sebastian announced the names of the Top 3 and subject toppers in the Science and Commerce streams for CBSE Class XII Board Examinations 2023-24.
Endha Neel Das and Pranav Badoni, the toppers of Science and Commerce streams in their speeches thanked the institution, and all those who were involved in their path to reach the top.
Ms. Karuna Makkar and Ms. Debanjana Sinha Roy then presented ‘An Achiever’s Anecdote’, a short, interesting skit on tongue twisters.
The names of those who won the Excellence Awards were announced by Ms. Karuna Makkar which appreciated the proficiency and aptitude of those select students who proved their mettle in both academics and extra-curricular activities.
All the prizes were given away by our honorable Director Fr. Binny Issac and Principal, Fr. Sujith Augustine.
Mr. Saiby Mathew, our Coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks, followed by the school anthem.
