Don Bosco School hosted its annual Inter-School Cultural Fest, "Bosco Fiesta" on August 21 and 22. Centered around the theme "From Ashes We Rise: Celebrating Humanity... The Met Gala Way," the two-day extravaganza brought together vibrant student talent from over 20 participating schools.
The festival commenced with an opening address by Head Boy Rishabh Bora, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and floral tributes to the founder St John Bosco by the Salesians.
The Principal Rev Fr Sujith Augustine presented the welcome address.The Director Rev. Fr. Binny Issac SDB and Principal Rev. Fr. Sujith Augustine SDB welcomed and felicitated the Chief Guest, Mr. Ranjit Sahaya, alongside visiting school contingents.
In his keynote address, Mr. Sahaya encouraged students to uphold the values of gratitude, love, and respect for their parents and educational institutions.Adding flair to the inauguration, the student comperes made a grand entrance in Met Gala-inspired attire.
An audio-visual presentation paid homage to the enduring legacy of the founder, St. John Bosco. The audience was also treated to a captivating classical dance recital by Ms. Ramya Varghese.
The day's competitive events showcased high levels of creativity across three major categories: Dramatic storytelling through Mime, intricate floral and color designs interpreting the festival theme through Rangoli and energetic vocal and instrumental group performances in the Western Music Contest.
The second day opened with a solemn prayer song, followed by a brief recap of the festival highlights by Head Boy Rishabh Bora. The Principal Rev Fr Sujith Augustine welcomed the student participants.
The competitive segment concluded with high-energy Folk Dance and Western Dance contests, keeping the audience captivated throughout the morning. A special dance performance by distinguished alumnus Mr. Bharat Sahani added to the excitement.
During the valedictory session, the Principal Rev. Fr. Sujith Augustine SDB commended all participants for their exemplary sportsmanship and creative spirit. The host school retained the prestigious Overall Champions Trophy. The event formally concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Cultural Captain Ashik Biju.
