Yoga
Yoga forms an integral part of the holistic
education imparted at Don Bosco School. In an increasingly demanding world,
yoga equips students with the physical strength, mental clarity and emotional
balance needed to lead healthy and purposeful lives.
Regular practice enhances flexibility, endurance, concentration,
self-discipline and inner peace while fostering a positive attitude towards
oneself and society. Students across all grades participate in yoga sessions
that include asanas, pranayama, meditation and Surya Namaskar.
The school also prepares students in accordance with the prescribed standards
of the SGFI National Yoga Competition.
Yoga is compulsory for all students from Classes I to XII as part of the CBSE
Physical Education curriculum.
Career pathways in yoga include Yoga Teacher, Yoga Instructor, Yoga Therapist,
Resource Officer in Yoga and Naturopathy.
